Do you have any closeups of the mounting of the 568 onto the 2.4l?

Pictures of the motor/trans bolted togther outside of the car or at least a closeup of any mods.

I'm going to take a few more pics of the mounts for those who asked. I'm in the middle of moving so it might be a couple days yet.

Thanks,
Carlos

Not JUST the mounts, but any mods to the engine or trans to get the 568 to bolt to the 2.4l

OK folks. Some keep asking for pics. I will post more as soon as I dig up my camera. It somehow got lost during moving. Just wanted to update.

Ok, I'm just about gettin' my jollies off to this post because I just started my 2.4 buildup, but my original plans included using a Neon transmission. Although I don't have a 568, I do have a PAIR of 555's and a custom 520/555 short throw shifter I worked hard on and would hate to part with. If the 555 and the 568 have the same bell housing pattern... does that mean... oh man this is too good to be true. Granted, I'd have to use a small-spline disc with it, but oh man... oh man...

I AM DYING to see how your trans mated up with the block and what needs to be done.

Ah, I can just see it now...

"Yes, hello? Hi, FWD Performance? Yes, could you overnight me a chrome moly 555 bearing plate please?"

Mmmmmm...

I'll try to get more pics up by this weekend. Thanks for your patience to those who've PMed & I've been slow to reply. Too many things going on.
Also, most have been asking about how I bolted up the 2 misaligned bolts between the trans & the engine. Well, even though I took that extra step to make a bracket, I still don't think it's absolutely necessary for a 12 sec car. I know it sounds like a ghetto job but it does not look like a hack job without the two holes being left unbolted. This thing is anchored at 5 of the 6 locations & it ain't going anywhere especially since most are using solid mounts anyway. But I'll snap more pics so you can see the relatively simple bracket that I used.

Here are a couple more pics on the bracket I made to mate the 2 holes that don't align between the engine and trans as described in post #9.
One of them is a shot of the bracket facing it from the engine side. The other is facing it from the trans side.

As you can see from the grime, this is my daily driver.

Just give me another month or so. It's coming along as smoothly as I planned it on paper.
Man is it going to be good.

Stay tuned.

Is it a complete carbon fiber composite omni weighing 1200 lbs with full interior pulling 2G on a corner and with a 400WHP 16V 2.4l running on 87 octaane mounted in the rear

Just a guess
