I disassembled a 2.4 to find a terribly spun rod bearing, pieces of which had somehow gotten up through the oiling system and into one of the intake cam journals. (Last journal on the cam sensor side) It caused a bunch of gauling pretty deep scratches. The question is, is the head junk? Can it be fixed or is it even worth it? Also one of the cam pins was sheared off in the sprocket. I will post some pics when I get them loaded. Let me know what you think.

Junk it, have a couple heads in my garage I wouldnt
give away from same problem. When the 2.0/2.4's
go they just seam to tear up everything.

The rear intake cam cap is the first to go, good cap
to pull when junkyarding. Next to go is the rear exhaust
cam cap, when those two plug all the journals get
starved for oil.
