well to start this won't work w/o firewall mods (a bfh may work)
My firewall is moved back 7.5" so I have a plethora of clearence
This is just a very ruff showing and at the end of the week when it gets back from a proffesional(I don't dare weld to cast, nore do I have a welder that will weld this thick pipe) I'll post the finished pics

Looks to flow very well for not alot of coin

It cleaned up nicely
btw it is a 96 Caravan manifold that I cut right before the o2 sensor bung
then I got a peice of schedule 40 2.5 id since the manifold is also 2.5id
I crushed it a little w/ a press and just have to drill a 1.5" hole in top for the wastegate(38mm)
It is heavy but shouldn't crack or sag, but I'm still going to make a brace to the block

And no more logs for me

I am actually looking at the down turn and distance from head. Working on doing a 2.4 420a Reverse head hybrid in an Avenger.

well it is not going to fit unless you move your rad to the front of the support and have the fan on front also

even if that works then it is still going to heat up the radiator
but I will get some pics when it is done

This is a caravan one so you could look at neons or stratus and see if they are different

Ok I didn't know how much of a down turn is on that manifold, Maybe the neon one has more of a downturn.... another thing for me to poke at when I am at the you pull it.

This is what I have done to my GLHS Charger with a GT35R turbo and external wastegate. The two bottom studs on the turbo flange are welded due to clearence issues. So far everything fits including the downpipe and 4" inlet pipe on the turbo. The clearences on this setup are fair to tight and eveything comes off with a little effort which is still a hundred times better than my old T2 setup. Please keep in mind that this is just the mokup and everything has to come apart for paint and polish.

I hope your build goes easier than mine as this has been a great challange for me to find solutions to every road block I run into. This has been like a game of chess where you have to think many steps ahead of the game as any action has a reaction.

Keep up the great work.

Mine is pretty easy since I do not have to take the distance to te firewall into consideration(because I have 7.5" more than stock. So with that said your setup is very nice and the work looks great.

Yeah that is what most people want to see as I have no firewall clearence issues so the angle and overall length from the head isn't a factor for me.

stock 89 Spirit mounts w/96 2.4 auto

I have a question for you that Daniel Merrill will be interested in knowing, what manifold is that off of?

It's a 99 caravan manifold that's going to be ported, polished and thermo coated. If Daniel plans on copying this design have him drop me a message so I can send him more detailed pictures and inform him of the clearence issues.

well here it is
I cleaned up and smoothed the ruff parts except for the manifold to pipe because I have to get a longer bit to reach it.

It looks good so far, check it out

here is the turbo and wastegate mounted
I am pretty sure this is about the least restrictave you can get
I think the top end is going to be insane and hopefully it will spool alright

I am not really interested as I don't have and more flanges, turbo or wastegate.

All I did was take a band saw and cut it off right before the 02 bung
got a peice of 2.5" id schedule 40 crushed one end in a press till it was oval about the size of the turbo flange.

then I took it to a local welding shop and they put it together for $70

then I cleaned it up a little and smoothed the transitions
