That motor should never see a car, instead, it needs to be in your front window so everyone can see it.

That is by far the best done twin setup I have seen on a td yet. Gret job

My questions are do you think that oil supply will be enough for both turbos? Looks like its about 1/4" or is it larger?

Also if it is possible I think the top turbo would drain better if you could get the center section rotated so the drain was pointing straight down. From the veiws posted it looks like you could but I may not be seeing everything. Would hate to see you blowing smoke b/c the drain was off just a bit.

Just my comments. I think it look awsome. Keep us updated.

Almost a shame to put it in this...

'90 Plymouth Voyager. The big cutout in front is for my Cummins intercooler. The plan is to bolt that motor up to a 555 with an OBX and drop it in.

I ran 5/16 to the turbos, that's what the Garretts got stock, hope it will be enough. I seem to remember reading that the oil drain should be within 45 degrees of vertical somewhere on TD? That top one is cutting it a little close though. I plan on putting a vacuum on the crankcase anyway to help with oil control, so I think the drains should work out. The fram should be good enough for a couple hundred mile break in, right?

I can't wait to get it out of the garage, so I don't trip over it, anymore

I didn't check if they were Swagelok or Parker fittings. Leftovers from a previous life.

Hopefully, it survives longer than the last few engines that were in the van

Wow, that should be fun. Got a good picture of the rear of the motor? I want to see the header design a little better. Looks good though.

Looks interesting!
Have you tried to fit the engine in the van? I would think you'll need alot of fire wall work to get it all in there.Mine with a basic log manifold needed the the wall dented in to clear a .60/.48 garrett, and lots more denting to fit a holset hy35.Have you tried to fit a power steering pump to the assembled engine or are you not using one? I had to use a longer belt to clear my tight radius 90 deg elbow exhaust manifold. Are you draining the turbos via the head? I have trouble with draining my head using 2 #12an fittings on the rear of the head and an 1/8 restrictor in the head's oil feed. It's fine until I rev it hard, say long 4th gear pulls.I had a pcv hooked up to the valve cover, and on shifts it would suck in a bunch of oil and smoke BAD for a second, also the valve cover gasket weaps a bit because of the flooding.I bored a hole through the front side of the block into the pressure eq. port, and run my crankcase breather and pcv from here, and so-far it has been alot better.I have the breather hooked up to the exhaust, and unless I used a small restrictor in the fresh air intake breather on the valve cover, the exhaust vacum would pull alot of oil into the exhaust. Also,if the engine's crankcase didn't breath properly the turbo oil drain would back up and leak oil into the turbine housing, again causing alot of smoke.
Looks like you have put alot of thought into this project,so I am sure it will be fun to drive, mine is!

My first post has the most recent pics. P/S pump fits in the same slots, and the belt goes on and tensions, only issue being interference with the timing belt tensioner. The engine is on the stand with alternator, p/s, water pump, all with belts on and tightened. And, with some rough measurements before i welded the manifold up, the back of the turbos should just about touch the firewall. The bottom turbo is in close to stock position, moved to the driver's side a little and turned back. No air/heat, so the heater box is out and I have a lot of space to cut out an area and reweld it in back farther. The biggest restriction in my drains is the ~0.43 ID stainless tube, drains are run from both sides of the head down to both sides of the block with a turbo t'ed into each. I plugged the squirters in the head and I have the petcock type valve on the feed so I can get the top end oiling set right, however, it does take a quart of oil an awfully long time to drain from the head down. The PCV in the exhaust is exactly what I was planning on doing.

One of those T's is a Swagelock, the rest don't have anything stamped on them.

And by the way DblTrbl, your TT setup is what inspired me.

Is this awsome setup going to clear the starter ? , When i was doing my oil drain backs (Hydraulic Hose assm's) i had to re route one of the drains because of interference with my starter , Thank god for flexable hose !!

looks sweet Tho !
Jeremy.
