Hello, i receive a ton of email ask me base map for MS.
Here we are.

First, my setup is a Megasquirt V3, running firmware Ms'nSpark extra 29V. When you purchase a new MS, don't forget it's not extra version that is in...you need to flash it before it can do spark and other cool feature.
The extra-doc is here: MegasquirtnSpark-extra
All the software you need is here: http://www.msextra.com/manuals/Downl..._Installer.exe

Please take time to read the manual included in the installer, it will answer all your question or 99%.

Stock distributor or EDIS? In my case i have chose EDIS for the following reason: accurable and more stable spark, reduce reset possibility & play whit coilpack & Coil On Plug. Distributor work, i have tested once whit modified unit, simple mod to do, it work , but can generate reset in certain case, not possible to run coil pack in distributor mode. All the stable MS install i have seen, run EDIS or Thooted wheel.

Now EDIS, you have 2 choice: run complete edis system or only Toothed wheel and is sensor. Here i have chose Toothed wheel and i fire my coil pack whit 2 VB921 driver. No other module to install and VB921 can drive coilpack whitout issue. The complete EDIS come whit a small box that receive trigger even from crank trigger, talk to the car ECU by 2 wire & drive the coil pack. It also included a coil pack and a capacitor. The NEON coil pack work like a charm in my case no miss at all on 20 psi.

Read the toothed wheel section to know how install it and be sure to place the sensor at the correct angle. You need to put the engine at TDC mark on the flywheel, and the sensor must be at the middle of the tooth #9.

For Air intake sensor and coolant sensor, the stock dodge sensor work great but you need to something to get it work. MS read the GM sensor but can be modified to read any sensor. EasyTherm is an application to do it but since i already do the job you can use my file. ( Thank Guillaume ). When you will flash your MS to put the EXTRA firmware on, take mine called msns-extraV29_mod.s19
All my MS files is here : Index of /d.larouche/ms/
If you have issue on uploading the firmware to the MS, Easytherm have the function build in to download firmware. Download Easytherm here : http://www.megamanual.com/files/soft...ll_Install.zip

Once the Correct firmware is in, you need to put 3 files in megatune to correct the Temp factor. The 3 files have an extension .inc, Put the 3 files in megatune car1 directory. Omit it and you will not read correct value.

If you want to use GM sensor, just dump the EXTRA firmware and forget the rest.

I will post very soon a diagram of my wirring and other MAP.

In my files section you will found my OMNI 16V config. This cal is based on 577cc injector, T3T4 57 trim turbo and SRT-4 timing map. Be carreful on timing...it's aggresive! I will post other timing map this week for your 8V guys!

I will try to finish the post soon, my english is bad and it's hard to explain technical stuff.

Your comment are welcome and don't forget..this post is not done, i will add info as soon as i can.

Guillaume

No problem.

Update :
Added 3 spark advance table for you 8V lover. One 2.5 89, one 2.2 89 T2 this map is not really agressive & a 87 MP 2.2 T2 very good for perf. You can retard timing at idle around 15 deg, some are done not sure wich. Also mapping is from a 2 bar table...so i have do it for 14.5 psi and for the rest i have enter same data BUT BEWARE you can detonate! You have a great place to start Now! Dont be suprise the 2.5 map get more timing in the high rpm...is simply what is in the stock cal because REV lim is 6000 and engine not pull at all at this rpm.

Guillaume

Any chance someone has a D-cal 16v cal they would share?
I'm running a 2.5L 16v freshly D-cal'ed.

Long term goal is to run Megasquirt but for now I'll learn what I have.
