PM sent.

Some testing shows that what I'm seeing can only be caused by the input going high for less than ~10 microseconds, causing the subsequent falling edge to be completely missed. At least that means that my code is probably fine. Maybe the Neon ECU pulls the sensor input line high for a very short amount of time in order to test if its shorted?

If you think your code is fine send it to me for a quick test run in a 2.4 mounted omni to confirm.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm going to try and pull the crank sensor pin out of the computer connector on my Neon and just see what it does while cranking. In the end, I'll probably just send it to you and see if it actually works...

Not yet, missed your last post. I have to finish up the code and send it to you, hoping it'll work... Had exams the past couple weeks, didn't get much of a chance to do anything.

The extension on the zip file changed from the link I posted before. The proper link is http://www.moyerautomotive.com/Docum...IS_Adaptor.rar

Why'd I spell it with an o?

Mostly done, have to re-implement the HEP outputs with the new code version, but that's it.

I just hope it'll actually work and that the problems I've seen are because the Neon ECU was in the loop...

Wonder if I could make up a physical test unit... Chop off the end of a cam and make a crank trigger wheel... I'll look into that tomorrow.

Yea, after getting some miles on my hybrid, I started taking it up into the higher revs and noticed a miss. Hoped it was just the tune, but I'm pretty sure its the adapter. Made up a new board layout with opamp input buffers and schottky diode clamps on the opamp outputs, as well as a revised power supply with reverse polarity and overvoltage protection. I have boards/parts and put one together, but the van is currently sitting without turbos on it (Garretts were too big/smoked, putting mitsus on), so I can't test it out until later this week. I'll put up schematics if everything checks out.

Wow, nice project. I totally missed this thread.

BTW, I'm building a transmission control unit and had to opto-isolate it to keep things clean. I'm using an Armite SBC board.
