Found a new lsu4.2 wideband sensor at the auto parts today, i guess its a normally stocked item now only $55, going to replace that and see if theres anything up with my shifter so i can start dialing the fuel in, turning the boost up and hopefully catch all the gears next time.
I just dont understand how i got such a burst of speed after i missed 3rd gear badly, maybe it was an error in the timing system ?

Hey to keep the hose on the tbody you can try aviators glue its a permatex product. As long as you don't want to pull it off on a regular basis this stuff works really well. Awesome car congrats!

You could always pull the throttle body and bring it to a welding shop. For a few bucks I'm sure they could weld a bead along the edge and that would end your issues.

Made it to test and tune today, didnt touch the car except for welding up a crack in my k frame where the bobble strut mounts up and secured the hose that kept blowing off, checked the play in the axles and seems nothing has changed there.

First run was at 23 psi boost 11 psi in the slicks no air in the rear bags, I dont see much improvement from airing them up anyways

1st run
60' 1.932
1/8 et 7.865
1/8 mph 95.84
1/4 et 11.807 pb
1/4 mph 122.19 pb

2nd run 25 psi boost
60' 1.871
1/8 et 7.668
1/8 mph 98.64
1/4 et 11.585 pb
1/4 mph 121.89

3rd run 26 psi boost, added fuel pressure
60' 1.920
1/8 et 7.824
1/8 mph 98.36 pb
1/4 et 11.678
1/4 mph 126.06 pb

4th run 27 psi boost a tiny bit more fuel psi
60' 1.815
1/8 et 7.689
1/8 mph 96.46
1/4 et 11.710
1/4 mph 123.29

It was a bit lean getting close to 12-1 afr on this run through 1st and 2nd gear but when shifted to 3rd it backfired a bit and the afr dropped to 11-1 through 3rd and fourth not sure whats up with that, but all in all a very successful day this car is just a glutton for punishment.

So far just in the planning stages, tying to come up with ideas for traction as im a little frustrated with my poor 1/8 mile et's.
Im hoping to get into the tens this year, i see people at my track run low 11's without a cage and an occasional dip into the tens so im hoping i can get away with the same.

I picked up a 91 shelby parts car and im considering installing the dual pivot k frame and the big brakes from it as i was coming up on the end of the track a little faster than i would have liked and maybe the dual pivit will help traction wise plus the handbrake setup seems to hold a lot better than the one on the car now, with the small drums i cant even get the wheels to lock up in the back using all new cables and brake hardware.
Im probobly going to pull the head off and put a fresh headgasket in and maybe a little bit of porting on the head and possibly a set of mild cams and springs if $$ allows, then get some fine tunig done on the smec, got to figure out how to get the ostrich emu up and running..
