Could you run another idler pulley for the power steering belt to move it down and away from the t belt tensioner?

If i was home I'd look at mine. I don't recall any issues where I have it. It's up from the stock location and is on top of one of the brackets on the side of the engine but I can't remember where for sure. I haven't had any issues with it there.

Custom made intake, bought from neon forum. Clears dizzy with alittle grinding.

Let me know what you all think!
PURE SECKS!! What a fantastic build man, that thing wont dissapoint! Hell of a turbo selection, i wanted to run one on my talon before i sold her :( but this is sick! post more pics/vids/etc of this thing!!!

ALSO since this is a fresh build, are you going to break in the engine with no boost to get rings seated/etc before you try running 30-50psi? I would hate to see you wreck that motor without breaking her in gently first...

OH WAIT...this thread is OLD...nevermind. I got excited when I looked at the thread that was listed as new on the page...oh well. STILL a gorgeous build!

I haven't posted here in awhile. But as of this past fall its running good. Need to get more of a downpipe built and wide band installed. I've put alittle boost to it about 10 psi and it felt good. I'm debating on a fuel cell and really big fuel pump or just a walbro pump in the stock tank. I hope I can start tuning in the spring and drivable by summer. I already have an idea for my next engine rolling around my head.

Thanks for all the replies!

Good to see your still at it, are you using a custom exhaust manifold or is it one of the cast manifolds ? looks like it gave just enough room for the 351 holset.

The exhaust manifold is one of those weld together jobers. There is barely enough room for the turbo. My biggest problem right now is there is not enough room for the power steering pump. My buddy has a pump from a 2.5 jeep which is pretty tiny and has remote reservoir. If that doesn't fit I will be calling summit.

Are you using the stock 8v tensioner?

have you seen the zf pump that comes on the newer I think 90 up with plastic tank, I think it gives another 1 1/4" clearance for the downpipe

I have heard of the smaller pump just haven't seen any. I might hunt the junk yards for one come spring. I've also thought about flatting out part of the down pipe for better clearance.

they do seem to be kind of rare, i finally found one last year, first one ive seen in person, my son's 91 (tbi daytona es)has the old pump on it, my brother's 91 had the old pump too (daytona shelby) we picked up a motor for the shelby from the yard said it was from a 91 lebaron and it had the newer pump on it, the high pressure line had to be bent as it comes in at a different angle, then the 91 daytona shelby parts car i picked up had the newer pump on it.
the bracket is different too so you need that also.
