Custom Intake Manifold Ideas?

I am gathering all of my parts for my conversion project. I am stumped about the intake. What do most people use? Any ideas suggestions would be appreciated. I have a 2.5 with the 2.0 dohc neon head. I am putting it in an 87 Shelby Z.

I always liked the fire extinguisher intake manifold.. Not sure who did it, but it was pretty awesome looking.

I'm in the process of making a mandrel tube intake header design , 1.75 runners and a 4x12 pre plenum . will do a thread documenting the results !

I got all my bends from "mandrel-bends.com"

would a plastic pt cruiser intake work, and leave enough room for the distributor in the stock location?

The adapter for the dist in the head is a lot easier though. The PT intake may only fit mini vans too and not much plenum..

Shadetreeshop, thats a nice looking piece of work but im curious as to whether it will actually benefit performance as it seems to have very long runners and almost no plenum volume. Could you explain your thought process on the design? And have you run the piece in a car yet?

I'm running water meth injection & am getting uneven distribution for all 4 cylindèrs , #4 is real clean & #1 was dirtyest of all of the plugs , so my main goal is water distribution , I may make the plenum longer & prettier . I was making 370ish to the wheels on a crappy log intake . I'm not gonna retune it before doing a pull and laying it over my old dyno runs to see what changes.
