The adjustability is the whole reason for them.

When taking things that were never designed for each other and throwing them together your going to need some way to redegree the cams back in and this is the cleanest, most effective way.

You could piece something together from stock sprockets, I not saying you can't or it won't work but you would still need some way to degree the cams in and there is no getting around that simple fact.

I figured those would need trimming, however, that is a lot easier than spacing everything out.

Ive been out of town for amonth, and I have anew job now with lots of overtime so Im killing the spacers and bushings anyhow.

On that note:

The same thing could be accomplished by taking stock sprockets, flipping them over, and having .3" removed from the inside and then installing the cam bushings I have. No spacing required, but the oil plugs, as mentioned, may need slight trimming.

Your sprockets are nice. I'd buy them if only for the adjustability.

Have you set a price for these yet?

As for degreeing the cams properly, the ghetto method is to line the cams up TDC and then notch the SOHC gears in the proper place with a dremel or whatever. In future you can use these new marks to set timing. Obviously its not as good as an adjustable cam gear.

Have you set a price point on the gears yet?

Approximate date of completion?
