Backup pass tonight with the new block. No changes made and it's VERY rich, 465fwhp. We don't want to chase the tune-up at all, until after we make it to the track which will be this Saturday. Wish us luck!!!!!!

I'd love to see some video of it making a run or two. Maybe you could arrange for it to be videotaped and posted online.

As long as tech goes fine, I'm sure we can get someone to record the car going down the track.

P.S. I double checked the dyno sheet it was 469fwhp!!!!!

We took the car down yesterday and had the tech guys look it over to make sure there was nothing that would prevent us from racing today. Other than screw-in valve stems for the slicks, we just need to remember the fire jacket.

woohoo!

Aren't you concerned about possibly washing down the cylinder walls with too much fuel? I've read that that can really destroy the rings or cylinders (can't remember which exactly).

Happened to me (once, . I like to think i learn from my mistakes). What it does is it kills youre piston rings. They are no longer shiney, but a dicolored grey look(no cylinder pressure, alot of blowby). After i honed the cylinder with a ball hone the new rings, seated immediately.

Results from Saturday....... We blew the head gasket on the first pass. We are looking into some specialized fuel designed for our application and we will be back out soon. It was a very hot day and the heat got the best of us.

Test drove the car tonight and started tuning with the new fuel. Man it smells weird.
