I have a good friend that's pulled the turbo equipment off an 88 and put on a 85 and has dive problems. I wonder if any one here might be knowing how to help so I thought I'd ask?
Thanks for the answers I hope I get?

Sry bud, Im thinking most people on this site are to cheap to get a supra. We would much rather buy a cheap car and spend all our money fixing it rather than having an expensive car that wont break in the first place

Dont know to much about them so I couldnt help you....my buddy has an 89 supra that runs 11's on pump gas and its an awsome car.

I thought that the hp rating on MKIII supras was 220(the turbo ones) I talked with a guy today with a 88 turbo. His baseline on a local dyno was 186 ( this is with a newer JDM motor) and after tuning got up to 202. WTF? HE says he ran a 14.7, I thought these supras were faster than this.

1. They have 232 HP
2. JDM engines are the same but have no EGR (unless it was a 1JZ which has 280HP)
3. If you keep the oil level full and re-torque the head gasket or better yet put on a MHG the bottom end will take 500+ RWHP for years.

BTW this is a outdated, alot more people are using the bolt on SP turbo kits and putting down lots of power.
