stealth exhaust issue

i just put a borla catback on my 93 N/A stealth and i thought that it would sound pretty good, but to my surprise its almost silent. i can barley tell if the engine is on. i thought that borla gives you that sweet exhaust tone. if when driving, its really quiet. so theres nothing i can do now. but would it get any louder if i take the cat out and put a straight pipe in there?
