SMP is 1,000+ crank hp right now, and surely the Evo is around 1,150 crank hp. Both cars do not use nitrous. One runs alcohol but at 30 psi boost, the other runs 45psi on race gas.

Obviously to me, the Evo has all the latest tech thrown at it (and $) which makes me wonder when the limit will be reached. But the lower budget and usage of stock parts is what's even more impressive to me about the T-III SMP car.

True, of course.

The SMP could make alot more power as well at 45psi.

Not saying a low budget (compared to the Evo team) T-III will make more power than any other inline 4 banger. Just pointing out we have one car making serious power right up there with the other guys and there's still more in it as well.

Also, there really isnt that much money into that evo. If you are talking labor, well that just doesnt count when comparing cars.

It takes about the same $$$ to build any 4 cylinder motor. Stephane and the EVO have the same turbo (and stephanes is modified and thus more expensive), and both have stand alone management.

Interesting.. Let's talk about boring for a second. - How much power does your car make?

If you have seen videos from the 800awhp AMS EVO playing on the streets and think that car is boring, you are a moron.

Watching all 4 tires spin from a 60mph roll without even brake boosting is sweet. and more impressive then a FWD spinning the tires from a roll at 100mph.'

Im pretty sure there isnt a street trim car out there that can hang with the evo. Any RWD/FWD car making that much power on the street would never hook up. 900rwhp + street tires = dead driver. 900fwhp + street tires = car that will never even move forward when you hit the gas.

Well at least if I lose a little race to one ofthose babies I won't feel bad about it.

Pretty neat, I do worry about all the driveline components though. ~950HP crank, could use a proper racing sequential etc.
