Sounds like mopar4340 is one of those un-creative traditionalists that get bent outta shape when they see anything out of rigind convention. People with that kind of attitude pestered the hell out of me when they were horrified to find that I was putting a cadillac motor in my 78 pontiac, and I'm "cheating" when I smoke them by 12 buslengths.

Call you retarded for putting one of the best designed bulletproof engines made, regardless of nationality or any of that crap, in a different car from the norm? Hell it's up to you, and I'm sure it'll be fun.
And I know I'd get insulted too if I was building the 'cuda, because I'd have dropped the caddy 500 equipped with EFI in there, and I'll sit there and smile as you tear into me for "molesting" the car or whatever by putting a GM engine in there! And I'd simply do what you aughta do, 8valveprick: if anyone puts you down for putting a "ricer motor" in there, shut em down hard on the street! Hard to put down a mill that can put down 800 hp on the stock crank and rods and live all day! I don't even think a 440's stock rods can handle that kind of HP, though i may be wrong. And for anybody thinking it'll sound like a bumblebee, you've never heard a turbo Supra. Doesn't sound like a v8 but it has a very exotic sound of it's own.

I think its cool what your attempting to do. I think it will be a harder swap but in the end you'll have a bullet proof EFI motor making tons of power and torque that will do everything a BBD motor will do plus it will be drivable and get good mileage to boot. Plus the shock factor when you open the hood! I race my minivan, that shock factor is what I live for.

i think i've heard enough from you...do you even own a TD?

I think its fine putting that motor in a Cuda IF its NOT a Hemi Cuda or anything similar. If you have one of those old beat looking Cudas...go for it, but not a nice one. Wasnt there the Hemi 'Cuda and then the Baracuda? Baracuda is fine to put the motor in, Hemi 'Cuda is not.

I would put the toyota motor in an Omni...

I'll see if I can't get pictures this spring....they guy uses it to go get parts from the local napa about once a month and has only put about 400 miles on it since completed 5 years ago.....the reason....hes scared shitless of it.

I'm not stupid. The car is a beat up 70 Gran Coupe. I got it without an interior. It also has been converted from a 318 to a 383 and things have been cut up on the car already. It ha sbeen sitting in my garage untouched for the last 5 years because I was bored w/ it but I can't get myself to sell it. This is the only way this heap will see the road again.
