I told my friend he could use my MBC until I get back into the boost of things, how much boost will the stock fuel system on a Eclipse take?

it can handle around 16 psi. It all depends on when you get fuel cutout. be careful and dont push it too hard!!!! Try to rewire the stock fuel pump to get more fuel. easy mod/free mod will help also. Dsmtuners.com/dsmstyle.com/dsmtalk.com all help out with that

GOOD LUCK!

i was running 17 psi on a forced performance ported big t28, 3 inch full exhaust, with only a rewired fuel pump for a fuel mod and i would rarely hit fuel cut on a cold night.. but on a 2g at least, the stock stuff is ok for quite a while. just keep an eye on your plugs if you change something

Well I put my MBC on my friend's GS-T and its set at 13psi, we got cut out about three times. The first time it popped off, but we put a fastener on it and it stayed, after that it cut-out one more time and then it stopped. We only did pulls in 2nd gear cuz we were in the center of town but I told him to do it in all gears but also to take it easy for awhile. Its a 91 GS-T, it says TD05H on the compressor housing, are these the stock turbos(14b is what i understand but maybe its the same thing). And in the the TD05H the same thing as on the SRT-4?

If you're asking if it's the same as the SRT-4 turbo, then no. The SRT-4 uses a Mitsubishi TD04LR-16GK-6cm2. It's essentially a small 16g compressor mated to a small TD04 exhaust side (that's integrated into the exhaust manifold).

Well now its cutting out again every time, which is weird its only set to 14psi max. It must be his car, its a 91 with like 158xxx miles on it all stock. Prolly not a good idea in the first place.

Hey 89csx, are you going to Renegade this weekend. They're opening the track for test-n-tune. Just wondering cuz my bro is gonna run his eclipse but I'm not sure if I'm going to take my 'tona. I don't want to be the only TD not running.

if the 1g is an auto they have smaller injectors, different cams, and a 13g turbo.. i think the 13g is a td04 though..

ive been out of dsms for a while.. but you will max out the stock fuel system on a 1g auto a lot sooner than you would on a manual car

eh, it was homemadeturbo.com, thats where I saw it, but yea its the stock turbo. Smokes a little, i told him to rebuild it. My other friend's 98 GSX smokes way more, but he has axle problems and cant race cuz his car starts wobbling very badly at above 50mph(axle problem is what he was told, Im not 100% sure)
