I will be getting a car soon soon might of seen me post about before but I need some answers.

77 plymouth arrow GS. It currently got a the stock 2.0 automatic in it. My choices are a dsm 2.0 with a conquest trans or 5.9 out of a 80's ram van.

I got a turbo that would work well with the 5.9 and also parts are easier and possibly cheaper for the 5.9. I would like to have the 5.9 to be carb and run low boost. The turbo I got is from a 7.3 diesel ford that got rebuilt it a full T4 turbo without a internal wastegate.

I leaning to the 5.9 since I never own a car with a engine bigger than a 2.5 4 cylinder. The arrow end goal would be a burnout master/drag only car with hobbyist plates like my charger got.

Convert it to magnum heads, they flow better than the LA heads on there now and run the hydraulic roller cam http://www.krcperformance.comhas a write up on this conversion. Also they have twin turbo headers for the 360 or http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com has single turbo manifolds for the 360.

Would have to beef up the front of the car for the 5.9, but it would be neat.
Heck you might be able to go a Mitsu V6 swap.
On the 4g63T this might be helpful http://web.archive.org/web/200410222...anny/index.htm

Too bad there isn't a rwd trand for the 3.5 that would be a nice engine.

I got access to alot of 360/318 parts but barely any to a dsm parts. The 3.5 your talking about is that like the one that comes in 300m and interpids? Isn't the prowler rwd 3.5?

Yes but it is the same trans as the intrepid put with a rear output. The good old 4spd auto you, know the one. Go the small block dodge, it would be neat. There should be some suspension info on the conquest/starquest sights.

Yea I'll have a single turbo 408 stroker 2000 Dak R/T here soon.

It had a KB blown 360 with alky injection running 12.5 @ 109 on 8 psi but I took care of #1 piston now now I'm going turbo and stroker

Nice dakota you got. My friend got a 2000 quad cab 4x4 with the 4.7 with simple mods like fipk kit, trottle body spacer, jet chip, and higher flowing muffler. It will surprise most people. Also my dads got a 2000 extend cab 4x4 with the 4.7 for a daily driver.

I still leaning to the way of a 360 since my friend just bought a 87 ford ranger with a nicely done 302 and 4 speed tranny behind and that thing gets up and moves for a truck.

What is the weight of a ranger with a 302 2wd with a short box and no accesories?

Yes it a swap the body came from colorando and the engine got less then a 1000 miles since it got rebuilt. He paid 2600 for it which is high for a 87 ranger but it parts are worth it plus it already a running driving truck since his old one isn't right now. He wants to paint like his old one and lower it down and put larger wheels on it. I want to show him up with mopar muscle since he a ford guy owning a dodge since he claim ford doesn't make the truck he really wants.
