Anyone know any good sites?
My step dad wants to sell me his 92 5 speed super coupe. I know it is a 3.8 supercharged engine, but I want to know how to go faster of course. It is pretty dang fast the way it is. I was more than impressed with how quick it was.He has done some mods to it along with complete rebuild and new heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. It is a lower 14 sec car from the butt dyno, but you dono till the car goes down the track.
I did not ask what he had done to it,but I plan on asking when he gives me a price.

Start here: http://www.sccoa.com/ I was involved with the SC's about 10 years ago and this club was great. I wish the SDAC would come close.

Check these sites out. Morana racing and magnum powers. Morana is a canadian company who sell ford 3.8L v6 components and magnum powers has got sum eaton M90 supercharger hopups. The cars are awesome, great engine! I have a spare Eaton M90 and intake manifold for sale the blower would be great to send to magnum powers for their porting job

So as for working on the cars are they some what straight forward? My mom told me that he has dumped a lot of money over the years in the car. He figures that me being in my 30's would really like it. I am like " Ah just give me a price and details!" Thankyou for the links guys !

I had one for about 6 months; 5-speed (autos are not NEARLY as entertaining)

pros: strong motor, smooth & quiet car at extra legal speeds, rock solid handling

cons: expensive parts, hard to work on motor, engine NVH at high revs

car is heavy and more of a 'grand tourer' than a street fighter

I think a plain 4.6 94-97 T-bird (or 92-3 5.0) might be a better car in the long run (add 2-piece driveshaft and a Paxton blower)

kinda depends if you want a really nice "stock" car; *or* an easy to mod & make fast modified car

+10 to the weak Head gasket!! I've seen a few for sale because of it. And If you have any kids watch OUT as the body isn't that strong in side impacts!! I know from experience!! We were in a plain jane T-bird and got T-Boned I only know the guy admitted in records he was going 5-10 over the limit of 50 When he saw us turning and thought we were passing and hit his brakes and turned to the shoulder!! Any ways he hit us right at the passenger rear wheel area and it gaves in killing my 7 year old son and lite brain damage to his 5 year old sister and knocked out her 5 year old brother and into a coma for 14 days! Me, I was knocked out of the car into the car that hit use and breaking my neck in 3 places and my skull into many pieces and my brains were coming out between the cracks in my skull and scalp a 11/2 million dollars medical bills later he I am stopped driving because of cataracts and warning you of this!! No more T-birds for me!! just IF you go for expensive repair bills and hard to get at parts the T bird can be a nice car just be real careful taking left turns in front of people or passing situations!!!
Terry,good luck
I'm brain damaged,what's your excuse?

I have a 94 bird with a 4.6 engine pretty solid although i think my trans is now going out, not bad with 137,000 miles though. I kinda wanted an SC though, pretty cool engine. I say get it but watch for the headgasket.
