My new project all setup and ready to get going. I mention early about a 77 plymouth arrow my friend pick up. Well it now mine. I posting this in here because of my plan to do with this car. Car wieghs 2100 lbs in fully option out with it being a rwd drive car. I plan on striping some of it and install a 360 4 barrel into it. Also got a turbo that going in also. Plan is to get this car to hit 10's and be street driveable. Wish me luck as start to get it together. I will post my progress if someone cares.

Car pics. Looks better in person.

Look at all the room.

My plan is kill my friend in his 302 powered ford ranger.

Update.

Got home now and started to do a little work. I gutted the rear out and got about 70 lbs out. There is about 30 pounds of a sound deading. So that make up for some of a extra wieght of the 360. Stock rear end is no good for the power. I plan on cutting the bumper mounts down about 3 inchs in the front and sheet metal bumper for the rear.

These things can be fun with a V8 in them. A guy here in VA I did a turbo 2.2 in one several years back and it was very fast. I actually think he just got another one with a V8 already in it I"m not sure. Good luck. And please post pics up with your progress.

Update got the motor out and started to cut the van into little chunks. Odd thing it doesn't have a frame as it is unibody also has a small bolt pattern. It the same as my friends ranger which is 5x114.3

My good friend here started to put a 340 in one, then he changed his mind he put a 2.6 Turbo TSI motor in it. Its an 80 Fire Arrow, and his son now drives the car. It runs awesome and not nose heavy I always wanted to race him in my GLHS but never did, he has a lot more torque but I think the GLHS is quicker overall.

Have fun maybe in a few years you can upgade to a Hemi Arrow its the ultimate way to go and I don't mean 2.6 or Turbo III I mean 426

Yeah keep us posted. I would like to see your turbo setup, and carb selection. I Might be doing a turbo V8 sometime in the future. Its becoming really popular now. Good Luck!

Thanks for the support guys. I thinking of getting a demon carb that made for boost but don't know which one to get. When I got the car I had to ways of doing it. One was the 360 turbo or 2.0 dsm turbo. The dsm would of been nice to do but there a large group up here central wisconsin that buy just about any parts they can so it would been more expensive to go dsm. The 360 I got from the van for 200 bucks for the whole thing. After I get done scraping it out I will get back about half of what I paid for. So I couldn't go wrong with a good running 360 and good trans for 100 bucks.

I haven't been able to finish off the van since it been raining for last 3 days.

Update
Got the old motor out drop the front suspension and steering. Modify the orignal crossmember to get rid of the 4 cly mounts. Simplify the wiring on the 360 and got dash taken out mostly for the firewall clearance.
