Hi All,

I can't believe it... I finally found a Turbo, albeit a TI, but it is definitely the right price. I read the previous post and cannot believe this, but it would appear that Reed and I are living in parallel universes, my story is almost the same as his... ! I got the VIN and the Allpar.com website VIN decoder gave me this:

Country : USA
Make : Chrysler
Type : Passenger Car
Model Year : 1986
Safety System : manual seat belt
Body : E: New Yorker, E-Class
Series : Premium
Style : 4-Door Sedan
Engine : Chrysler: 2.2L I-4 SOHC MFI Turbo I
Check Digit : 6
Plant : Jefferson, MI
Serial Number : 169453

What do people think? I mean the price is almost too good to be true, but the guy has a new truck and inherited the car from family, I'll check the same things that were mentioned in Reed's previous thread, but any other comments on this year/turbo type? It seems that people love the T2, I'm no newbie, replaced too many head gaskets on 2.2s & 2.5s, replaced cylinders, gaskets, vacuum hoses, rads, and NEVER paid more than $400 for my 84 - 86 n/a kcar/dynastys (pronounced Dye-Nasty god I hated that car).

Hmmm? The possibilities are endless! Your thoughts/comments are appreciated.

Thanks,

Knight

I say jump on it! I paid $1000 US for mine, so $400 Canadian is a steal!

congratulations!!

finding my first TD was such a pain in the ass. but a few weeks back i got a 89 2.5L TI shadow. Now the junk yard is full of them, go figure.

I paid 200 cnd. witch seems to be the going rate for anything K-car based.
first time i got my turbo to hit boost it was nothing less then magic, it put this huge evil smile on my face i couldn't shake off for hours.
don't let it get away

I KNOW THE EVIL GRIN OF WHICH YOU SPEAK!! Mwuahaaaa, my wife gets worried and says I get this glazed-over look in my eyes when I start talking about turbo Dodges... Did I mention I used to own a '77 Challenger with a 360 and a nasty cam... I loved that car!

Thanks for all the comments, btw, I have to get the car a new head gasket (and new bolts), and some miscellaneous work. Pretty sweet.
