I've finally given into temptation and decided to try and turbo the 82 Eagle. The plan is for a 4.6 turbo-stroker w/ Renix fuel injection. The block has been dropped off to get hot tanked and the crank was sent to get reground, rods and pistons will be ordered as soon as they are done.

stock 4.0 rods, custom forged pistons,(MAKE SURE CR IS LOW, most forged stroker pistons are $5-600 and yield compression of 9.5 or higher) use 91-95 cylinder head, 99+ intake manifold, mustang 65 or 70mm throttle body, renix electronics with a rising fpr adjustable map and wideband o2, big 5.0 mustang injectors, port the hell out of the head, check out mp and erson cams, use big chevy valves,

you would be best off with a megasquirt, but it is possible with a modified renix,

this stroker will cost you at least $3500 to do it right. i know.

I got most of the bottom end stuff together; 8.5cr Turbo/SC pistons, Total seal rings, all the bearings, and performance rods (Thanks Hesco) Its at about half of that $ now and its not even close to being done. Lately I've been researching which turbo to use. It looks like a T3/T4 hybrid w/ 60 trim will do but have to double check everything first.

Never heard of Earson or MP cams.

Keep us all informed! I'm a big AMC and Mopar fan (as you can tell from my username) and love turbos, too. I'm planning on a stroker 4.0L at some point and would love to throw a turbo on it. Most of my stuff (all AMC at the moment) is V8 powered, but I'm thinking of doing a FI'd 6 project for some better mileage. Have my eye on an 82 Concord wagon...

Good luck and definitely keep us posted!
