87 Daytona Shelby Z 2.5 T2-> cummins cooler, 3" exhaust, S60, forged venolias, TU custom 3 bar cal 18 psi... ported +1 head Lookin to go low 13's.. extra lean - need a good tune and have to try that 4 puck clutch...hopefully it holds up.

Hopefully, he's gonna pull that 8 3/4 outta there, and put a Dana in. That rear *while plenty strong for most applications* is going to have a short life if that setup makes the kinda power it should. I know a few folks who grenaded their 8 3/4 with stout 440/auto combos and big sticky tires (much smaller than the steamrollers on the back of that Daytona). The 'tona being fairly light, will help...but that rears gonna be the first thing to give up the ghost.


I really like that project though! I'll be curious how he likes that fuel injection setup too....
