99 Stratus 2.4L DOHC.

Kinda of a Dream/Project Car (Also known as my daily driver)

Almost the same engine that is in the SRT-4.

I came across a deal i couldn't refuse. I purchased a Garrett TB0321 Turbo, and 2 other metal pieces. (I think Air sensor and a waste gate).

My most basic question is, Where does the turbo mount to?

List of Parts Ill need?

My list would look like this: Turbo, Flange, Blowoff Valve (need?), Bigger downpipe?, Boost Gauge, Air/Fuel Gauge, Pod, Tubing/ rubber piping for oil/ other parts. In addition I might need some SRT-4 Internals like rods and pistons?

Will i need to put more expensive gas in my car? 92 or so octane? Is 85 ok?

This may not sound smart, but on Stratusphere.net (People who drive the Cloud gen cars) I read i could run about 7 psi with out an intercooler.

Current Preformance Mods: Short Ram Intake, Exhast.

Your best bet is to get ahold of a wrecked srt 4 and swap the parts over. You need to change radiator, computers, probably map sensor, fuel injectors, exhaust and intake manifold, fuel pressure regulator. I'm also pretty sure the pistons are different, but like I said, its gonna be easier to just drop a complete setup from a different car than to mod the one thats in there. The SRT-4 is very picky about the fuel you use, otherwise it will be pulling timing constantly which equals bad performance.

The turbo found on the 2.4L SRT engine will not fit in a could car without significant modification to the firewall. The engine is an excellent building block, but you're going to need to get creative with the turbo. Best bet is to find a DOHC Neon turbo manifold and use that. They are pretty small, so there should be enough room for it in a cloud car. Almost sure it will work with the turbo you already purchased.

The stock compression on the 2.4L is 9.4:1. It's a bit high for turbo use (at least for my taste). The SRT pistons/rods will drop right into any 96+ 2.4L and will give you 8.1:1 compression. Definitely put the best possible gas you can find into it.

As far as running it without an intercooler, I wouldn't even bother with any of this until you have one. You'll have to tune the car perfectly to run without the intercooler, then once it goes in, you're basically starting from square 1 again with tuning. It's not worth it.
