I am planning what I can only describe as a "Heritage Acknowledgement" or "Bridge-gap". Basically, a new dodge vehicle that pays homage to the Turbocharged Dodge roots.

I own a 2001 Dodge Neon SE (PL body) with a 2.0 and a 5 speed. I am planning a turbo build using a 2.2 stroker crank from Indyheads.com. Now since this is the replacement for the P body, I am torn between using an SOHC Magnum head or a DOHC 1st Gen R/T head. These two head flow relativley the same. I like the fine tunability of the DOHC but the SOHC would be a more fitting tribute. I would like you're opinions on this.

Tell me what you think!

Yea and you didn't tell me what you thought of it! You were supposed to tell me whether I should do the SOHC Magnum Head or the DOHC R/T head.

Why? It would seem cheesey to do this in a P-Body. And I was talking about a 2.2 Stroker, genius.

why would it have to be a P body? mainly why a 2.2 and i know we talked about this but there isnt a stroker crank for the 2.2 ill find a thread that said why a 2.5 wouldnt work in a 2.2 block if needed

You're a dips*** sometimes, dude. Lol. I am using a 2.0 SOHC NEON MOTOR! for the stroker. IndyHeads.com makes a STROKER CRANK for my 2.0 which will make it a 2.2 STROKER. I will be turboing this and putting it in my neon. This is a custom crank made for the NEON 2.0 SOHC engine.

And our meets are supposed to be times where we can egt together, share ideas and BS so why not BS here, too? Call me and I will explain it more, lol.

Nope. But Neil Emiro did that to a 1st gen neon. And then upgraded it to a TIII. He had to relocate the coolant overflow bottle for the TII and then notch the subrame for the ac compressor for the TIII. He also had several other fitment issues that I can't recall right now.

well dropping in a "real" 2.2 would be more of a tribute and easier on the wallet. :/

You still wouldn't be as cool as a real 2.2/2.5 dodge

I'd just turbo the thing and get it over with

Not so much. There's a bit of fab work involved that is kinda difficult and, oh yea, Neil Emiro already did that! If I do my stroker, I can keep all my stock mounts, a/c and PS and not have to cut or fab anything.
