1st year GN turbo

I scored a free GN turbo. It needs a rebuild, but hey its free. I did some searching and not much on those old carb'd turbos. I couldnt see any markings on it either, so anyone know what size it is? Thinking of putting it on my Shadow.

did you score the whole car or just the turbo? Pontiac carb turbo charged some V-8's around 79. I think they were in grand prix bodys maybe trans am to. I think they were 301 v-8.

If my memory serves me correct, the early GN turbos had an .82 A/R hotside, which will probably make it slow to spool. I drove a bunch of new 78 Turbo Regals back in late 77 when I jockied cars for a dealership. They were quite slow to spool with the 3.8.
