same motor as in a neon, Ive heard of stock cranks taking 365 (not sure if crank or at the wheels but still more than listing above) as well as guys using T2 rods in them, and what head do you suppose TD'r use for 16v conversions, the 420a head, keep the 273 in the dart

Yea the heads are awesome but the lower end on mine didn't respond to boost very well at all. New oil pump and the bitch still spun a bearing.

I thought the 420A Heads were crap, i dont know what i was reading. BTW the 273 was in a d/dart my brother wrecked back in 81, well anyway, i might just go on with the turbo plan, i have a backup motor in my talon.

On a stocker 8# is the limit as far as neon motors, the 420a is similar. If your running 14# without pulling some timing then too much boost and detonation killed your engine

So i'd be safe running like 8 psi with a stock bottom end or should i take the time and money and do a forged bottom end, pistons and rods, the crank would be more than the car is worth.

You should also check out Hahn Racecraft's site.

The 420a is one of their specialties....even in the 2gNT/Sebring/Avengers.
