Factory turbo Minivan MANUAL?

Is there such a thing as a Caravan that came from the factory with both a turbo, and a 5 speed?

Found an '89 van at the yard today with both. I know it's possible to swap, and this van was obviously been messed with, the the turbo stickers looked legit, and the 5 speed looked to have been in there for some time. If the manual was swapped in, they did a good job.

Is it possible?

Reason I ask is I am interested in the computer. My 90 Caravan is already a stick, and I've thought about swapping a turbo motor in. Computer would be a great addition.

If it's the Silver one yes Dion it's factory. That's a 555 in there and the clutch I think has maybe 20 miles on it. Did you get the stainless turbo lines on it? Has the cool Folding seat/bed in the back. Also the turbo is a rebuilt T2 garrett that has maybe 20 miles on it as well.

Yes, they came from factory like that. Get the vin number and decode it next time.

Yep, silver, cool folding seat. What's it doing in the yard?

Turbo and lines were still there. I figured it was a Mitsu, so I didn't think the lines would work.

Sounds like the whole thing should have been grabbed.

guy had to get rid of it one sunday because of neighbors on landlords complaining or something. I missed out on getting it for free by a couple hours. shortblock is bad.

They don't let cars go after they hit the yard until they are going to crush them. I could buy it then, but it will probably be an empty husk.

I would love to turbo my van (I've had the wiring harnesses and computers for a couple of years now), but I really don't want dive into another project besides the six I have going on my Valiant and I need a car to drive now, not later (van is down and wont run). oh I drove it when it ran. Was total fun. Sit at the light and rev the piss out of it and people would look around wondering who was doing it. The look on their faces as you dumped the clutch and left 2 big black marks all the way across the street was priceless. Although it does drive like a pickup/semi where it feels like you step down on the pedals instead of pushing them fwd. yeah nice van too bad I missed grabbing it. Would of just found a buddy to sell it to for cheap.

Well, couldn't help myself and snagged the turbo and the computer. Tripped over another turbo in the back of a van with a T2 compressor housing and large wastegate can, so I snagged that, too (housing and can only, turbo was worn out).

Got the stainless lines as well.

What's the deal with the wastegate can on the turbo off the van? It's much smaller than the stock one, and bolted on the front of the housing instead of the rear. Aftermarket?

Only thing that could have made it better is if it had a .63 A/R turbine housing and 3" SV.

What's the deal with the bottom end?

Nice haul. The 90 manual turbovan came with the 568.
I have a 555/T2 89 mini, but I made it myself.

My '90 van has a 523, but it's not a turbo either (at least not yet ).

The complete turbo has a small can cause I wasn't gonna give up my big can when I sold it I'd have to see the turbos to give any more info though.
