i saw this quote "If you plan on running your car hard with boost in the 23+ psi range we recommend for longevity purposes the ball-bearing option. Also, if you are a serious drag racer and won't to squeeze out those better ET's that are associated with quicker spooling then this is a good idea. If you just want a fast street car that runs most of the time at 20psi or less on 92 octane, then the non-ball bearing option is a good one for you." and i just don't understand it. lets say i had an 85 glh TI (which i'm looking at), and would go w/ TII set up, perf comp, 3" exhaust, 52mm throttle body, and what not...and i would run about 15psi, but would like to bump it up for the track, what should i use?

Its a mixed bag, Ive seen journal bering turbos outspool a aball-bering. Id think Brent Rau is a serious drag racer and he swapped from a GT42R DBB to a BorgWarner journal bering and dropped e.t... So for someone to make a blanket statement like that is just misinformed.

Many diesel turbos are journal bering and they run 50+ psi for hours and hours for hundreds of thousands of miles. After all Journal berings ride on oil.
