What are the differences between the '89 and '90 turbovans? I believe the computer is different, right? What else? And how do any of the differences affect how you'd go about modifying it?

Ohh, I tried the search option, and all I could find was the computer info...
Thanks!

Lots of little things changed under the hood. As far as mods go, it's pretty much the same between them. There is less suport for the SBEC computer to some extent, but the stock computer will work for a decent amount of power. SBEC cals are out there, and the vendors do offer upgrades. Most all of the hard parts are the same on the engine with the exception of the fuel rail. The biggest differences are the computer and wiring.

What's different about the fuel rail? Would changing it to smec just be a matter of changing the harness and computer or are the sensors different also?

Not true, the rail is different on a 90, it doesnt have the dampner on the end, and the lines curve in a different direction. The injectors and the regulator are the same. I can send pictures if you need me to. The sensors are the same, I don't feel it's worth the hassle to switch it over though.

yep no dampner on SBEC cars or vans because of the sequential FI.
