VNT turbos on ebay

I bought a couple of these from these guys for spares. I haven't used them yet but they look perfect. Thought I would pass it along in case someone else is in need of a VNT turbo.

I got the 1 for 305$ 2 days ago and they are right on the money brand new never tasted exhaust absolutly no shaft drag/play. That was305$ + $85 to toronto can. Id lick it but theres too much packing oil....

Yeah, I got one last month. Unfortunately I picked the one someone was actually bidding on and had to pay $425 shipped for it. That's still WAY less than you can get them for from the vendors, so I can't complain. I wonder where he found all these?

I was wondering the same thing...where all of these came from and why they are going for so cheap. But nobody tell him that the price is dirt cheap lol! Turbos R Us is his/their ebay store. I just got one for $295 + shipping from him/them.

Maybe garret was letting them go due to the age of the car. Cant imagin storring 50 or a 100 turbos for 22 years.

Those dont look like all original vnts. Rebuilt at best most likely remanufactured though.

yep thats Turbos R Us, they are good people to deal with as i use them for all my turbo needs, just bought a brand new wet style center cartridge for $50 shipped

That's good to know because I'm through with Turbo supplier/re-builder I had used in the past, customer service sucks, so I'll try them next time.

they dont rebuild, just sell replacement parts, i rebuild my turbos

turbos are pretty simple to rebuild, just takes some special tools and your set, theres not much to them

Gonna update this thread, since I may have been the only one that's actually used one of these already, and not bought them for spares.

JUNK! Got 2,000 miles out of mine. Was heading up to Albuquerque last night to meet Azkcar135 on here to get a trans from him. There's a small town about midway there that I usually stop at for a break. About 5 miles outside this town, I started seeing smoke in my rearview mirror. By the time I got to the truckstop there, I couldn't see behind me!

It was an epic failure! Three quarts of oil, gone like that! Intercooler was full of oil. Luckily I brought tools! Plugged the oil supply to the turbo off, pulled the intercooler hoses off, and flipped the airbox around so I could hook it right to the throttlebody.

After about another 10 miles, the smoking went away. I was worried I had hurt the motor with all that oil and crap that had went into it. I pulled over after another 60 miles and checked the oil, it was full, so I continued on and made it to Albuquerque and back last night.

Hasn't used any more oil, so I guess I can throw another turbo on it one of these days! I'll just go regular T2 garrett this time.
