Possibly, or he could of used the whole Masi engine and put the VNT on it. Because the crank, rods and pistons are much different than a T2 or T4. To mount the VNT there'd have to be a Chryco flange welded to the Masi exhaust manifold. Heck to mount any turbo other than stock requires a new flange as the bolt pattern is somewhat unique to the masi. A VNT will have a very sharp elbow on the exhaust side of the turbo for the O2. It's actuator for the vanes is in the middle of the turbo and the rod goes up and down instead of across the turbo.
