I've got a 2002 WRX running a stage 1 Cobb Tuning computer. Fairly fast but no where near the grunt of my old modified 91 Spirit R/T. But the WRX is great for driving hard in all kinds of weather.

Here is a link to my Chrysler Conquest on cardomain.com. Can't beat the fun of a rear wheel drive car. I just wish it was as light as my Charger!

(hope I'm not offending anyone by putting the "Mopar" stickers on it It's pre DSM and badged Chrysler so I dont feel too bad about it

http://www.cardomain.com/id/jrayk

full 2.5" exhaust
1st gen eclipse MAS
Mitsu ported 16g turbo @14 psi and ported manifold
Intercooler harpipes
Eiback Springs, Tokigo struts, ST swaybars, Greddy strut brace.
245/45 16 tires.

The cars high points are its handling and braking but it has some zip too. In stock condition, the G-Tech read 15.3 in the quarter which is right on the money. The last run I made was 14.1 with everything listed above. I'm going to be installing an ACT clutch and have my flywheel milled down a few pounds. Maybe take it to the track then and see if I can hit high 13s... I doubt I'll hit it but I know I can squeeze a bit more out of her if I get a wideband O2. I'm afraid to push the worthless throttle body injection any further without one.

I have my intercooler harpipes at the chromer right now. I will post some pictures in a couple weeks with everything installed.

It's in mint condition and fully restored. Last summer, I got 1st place in the Late Model division at a local All Mopar car show and 1st place in the sport compact division at the largest car show in the state.

I would like to take it to the "Mopars in the Park" show in the Twin Cities next summer just to give people something different to look at...but I don't think it would fit in any class or be received too well

Thanks!

F*CK THAT.

I'd receive any rear wheel drive turbo car with curiosity. Especially those Conquests, I was tempted to buy one once, but it had some problems, and I heard they can be super fickle. They look sweet and the wide tires look menacing.

Here's a story:

I was looking to make and "investment" in a turbo car.

I ended up finding a 3rd generation RX7 on ebay. Immaculate, pristine, powerful, tastefully, and specifically modded (aluminum radiator, intercooler, Apexi power fc computer, turbo timmer, ect) and pushed a consitent 320 reliable* horsepower. (* thats a relative term)

Anyhow, I ended up loosing the car for profit, paid off the loan, made 3500 which I used towards a fun car more within my means, the 86 GLHS I have now.

But that twin turbo was bad ass.

It would shoot to 9000 rpm and love it. It was also really fun to drive, the sequential turbos was a blast, it was like driving an articulate beast which sang eloquent songs of .... sssssssSSSSSSSS.....schppppppppttttttttt........ss sssssssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSS....schpppppppppppptttttttt tttttt.

In the end it was quite a sacrafice for the 86GLHS, I was sad to see the RX7 go. But in the end I am still happy- which end would surprise you at a green light?

:thumbs up Gorgeous Conquest! Nicest I've ever seen, and that engine bay is immaculate. Noone should be offended by the mopar decals--after all, it IS a Mopar.

Sweet car, I plan on getting that particular body style rx7 and dropping in a slightly modded LS1 or turboed LS1 eventually

or maybe a 71-73 Datsun 240Z with an LS1 and a bodykit.

the 240z Datsun weighs about 2355 Lbs, so it would just flat out haul. But the 3rd gen RX7 is just so sexy. Got a vid of one from hinsonsupercars about lifting the tires off the ground at the track.. :thumbs up

Thought I'd drop a couple more pics here since this thread is still fresh.

I just got a couple of my intercooler pipes back from the chromer. Everything else should be done within a couple weeks. Man what a difference hardpipes make over the miles of braided hose on the Conquest. Maybe 13's aren't out of reach :thumbs up
