Dont worry about the fuel system yet. There isnt much you can do anyways that is effective.

What mods do you have so far? Have you seen the top 20 most modified list?

Both good places to start. Robskorner.com also has a bunch of 3.0 related links.

The first mods you want to do are a 52mm throttle body (from just about any 3.3V6 powered Mopar) and a swap to a 5-speed tranny. A hi-flow cat and 2.5in exhaust also wake the car up pretty well, and if you've got the patience you can really port out the plenum and pick up some power there too.

BTW I believe the top 20 page is history now.

i heard you can put a 5.0 mustang air filter directly onto the stock throttle body for a decent impovement in performance (and definately sound)
if its true, im doing that to my duster

there is quite a bit you can do for relitvily cheap. as far as fuel goes a afpr is ll you will need till you start pushing quite a bit. yes the mustang filter fits on the 52m tb but i recomend yu desighn a way to get it away fromt he hot engine. there is no after market computers or anything like that. i am looking into piggy back systems though with little succes. you can port the plenum as said above and the exaust work as said. if you have egr swap to non egr. ummm underdrive pully. ditch the ac powersteering if you want. 8mm wires. good cap and rotor. msd blaster 2 coil. some good plugs. i use the 88 mustang 5.0 oil filter but i dont know if there is a hp gain from the extra oil. turbocharge nitrous supercharge. lighten it up a bit. preobly some more but i can think of any. check out my site for an out dated mod list.

180* thermostat
A543 5-speed tranny with solid bubble strut
Solid motor mounts
58mm Throttle body from a 98 Town and country
make a homemade Cold air intake
Remove A/c and get a Lightweight Crank pulley
move battery to trunk
TII fuel injectors
10:1 pistons
strip out everything unnessessary from the car!

This should be good to get you into low 14's

More like running pig rich. Fastest 3.0 n/a is running stock injectors.

for the intake.... ive been looking around and seeing people using the original ducting, just turning it around with the K&N filter on the front, now putting the air filter right behind the radiator fan but over the valve cover...
do i still get the 52 mm intake using that?

or you can do what I did and cut the original hose at the 90* and put a 45* exhaust pipe on the other side. Then put a filter under the battery.

I had a 3" pipe running below the battery. I just had to cut up the battery tray to get some extra room. It was a 3" 90 deg mandral pipe. Before that I used a 3" pvc plastic setup.
