I think I still have my service manual for that car. It was the second car I ever owned and completely fixed back up.

It was written off because of an accident but it was a really fun car.

It's reaaaaaaallly easy to work on.

As far as I know I'm the only one to actually get a 4g63 in an 84 Colt (at least in the US). It is NOT an easy swap but was well worth it. So much in fact that I let my Omni sit all season. If you search threads by me (8valveprick) on 4g61t.org I went into some details. I took it to the track and with a bone stock (internally) motor ran a 12.17 116mph. After all the crap I did to my Omni I"m getting the same mph on a stock 14b turbo. The only engine parts NOT from the junkyard are the injectors (which I got from my friend's EVO).

I'm going to take it to the track 1 more time w/ the stock turbo and try to get it in the 11's. After that I'm putting a 16G on it. Should trap 120+. If only I could bolt up a 568. Please God let that piece of crap DSM tranny hold up.

What are you talking about? Who said anything about putting a 4g in an Omni?
BTW Thank's for the information, I didn't realize the head on a 4g63 flowed better than an 8valve designed in the 70's. Hater
The reason the Omni is down is because I'm converting to 16 valve. It will be faster but ,as I stated, it takes a lot more work.
