I was just wondering if it is imperative to swap the lower intake manifold or can you just swap the older plenum to the newer style?

That way you don't have to change the PVC setup, etc...

Hey 3.0 Acclaim,

Do you know hole size that needs to be tapped out on the newer plenums for the charge temp sensor?

New challenge...

Anyone know where I can get a used plenum. The wrecker in my area doesn't want the engines stripped.

Hey 3.0,

On the '88 3.0 it has the charge temp sensor where the '89+ 3.0's don't. I have to tap it out according to this article,

http://www.robskorner.org/faqs/3litr...um/plenum.html

This is my plenum, you'll notice that there is an extra sensor.

But don't worry about the hole size, I can find that out but how much do plenums go for in your area? That would be cool because I don't think I will be able to get one around here.

@ 3rd Gen 3.0,

How much is shipping?

Also I had a question regarding the PVC setup on the '88 3.0's.

I have a extra nipple on my plenum for the PVC hose.

Now I know on '89+ setup, the PVC hooked up to the lower intake manifold. But I'm not swapping to the newer lower intake.

I'll have to figure out where to run the PVC hose, or maybe the machine shop can tap a threaded hole and add a PVC nipple to it.

Hit me up though, I want it.

You have a set of phenolic spacers kicking around for cheap?
