The other day I went to town on fixing some vaccum lines on my 2.2 TBI. I fixed a few, but at the end of the day, I broke the line going from the PCV T-connector to the manifold nipple.

High Idle insued.

I tried searching everywhere in the house to find something that could make due to seal the vaccum leak I had now created. Today, I finally got to the parts store to buy some hose. I got some 9.5mm hose (seemed very similar to of the original inside diameter) and fixed the broken hose.

Only now... I still have high idle.

So...Im wondering, on the vaccum line i replaced earlier in the week, they were slightly smaller then the stock lines. Could that messed up the flow of the vaccum? Or did somewhere along the lines I break a line I havent found?

Im getting both a code for TPS and one for the Map sensor not getting proper vaccum. Im confused. Should I disconnect the battery after doing vaccum line changes?

Update, just found a small but terminal crack in the small rubber connector between the vaccum line from the MAP to the TB nipple. That could be part of it.

Then why the TPS? I unplugged it the other day, but it seems tightly plugged in now.

I'd reset the computer. I don't know about the TPS.. but it makes since that the map sensor could be affected since it's connected..

Hey.. I made a rhyme.

Fixed the leak at the map sensor.

Idles fine now, just doesnt seem to run as good as it did before. Seems really torquey but not very much top end. Though it could be running correctly and thats abnormal for me.

still getting a MAP sensor code and a TPS code. The dang TPS worked before I fiddled with all this stuff, why doesnt it now? and I fixed all the vaccum lines I deemed needing repair, unless my connections are tight enough, but on most of the lines i replaced they are a little smaller then stock.
