yes you can... the compression ratios between a TBI 2.5 and a TBI 2.2 or 2.2 carb non HO or non Shelby are nearly the same. the 2.5 is 8.9:1 and a 2.2 is 9.0:1, your carb intake will bolt right on, you'll need to change some sensors to plug into the cars wire harness, but this is a bolt in swap. I would suggest ditching the feedback carb and go with a Weber DGV... or even get a caravan or dakota carb, they are non-feedback.
