im gonna rebuild an engine for my 84 shelby charger n/a. should i use the block that came with it or can i use one of the turbo blocks i have laying around? which is better? any mods i have to do to make the turbo block work?

yes you can use a turbo block. I would use any 1986 or newer block because of the larger head bolts, use your head as it is the best flowing. there's A LOT you can do to make it "better" it all depends on EXACTLY what you want to accomplish and how much money you want to spend. I could set up up with the BEST 2.2 on the face of the earth with 400+ hp and no turbo but it'll cost around $20,000.

if you use a turbo block you'll need to plug the oil drain holes that the turbo uses.
