turbo block for n/a motor rebuild ??

can i use a turbo block for my n/a motor build up ?? i know the pistons need to be changed but what else ??

block off the oil return for the turbo, raise the compression, and put a (roller) n/a camshaft in! for the compression, maybe just shave the block or the head to bring it up to n/a specs, that way you keep the heavy duty pistons and save the trouble getting the correct year/engine size pistons for your build up.

a lot of turbo spec parts are great for n/a buildups like the compression rings!

my father had a K-car with a turbo block that was from a GLH that the made into an N/A because it was what was available. I drove my laser without a turbo for 6 months. a turbo Block in a N/A car is fine if you block off the turbo lines or cap them to the pan and block and make the other approriate changes. my father worked on car 25 yrs, i beleive that he wouldnt do the swap into if he knew it wouldnt have worked right. that car ran forever and was sold running.
