could i use a electric intank fuel pump to fuel a carbed 2.5 comonblock motor ???

You should be able to, but will probably need an AFPR to bring the fuel pressure down to 4-6psi (which I believe the old mechanical pump put out).

yep, you need to fuel pressure to be in the 4-6 psi range. peice of cake. what I did was go to my local parts store and buy a low pressure electric pump and installed it in my 1983 omni near the tank.

Well yes and no. for the orginal post, he's building a racer for oval track use... so the carb would be superior. for daily driving, just leave alone with what you have. if you want something with more power, get a different car like a turbo car.

My brother's got a electric fuel pump on his rampage that's got some decent pressure to it, but it's nothing the stock regulator can't handle.
