Garage Storage Organization and Garage Cabinets

Well i have every thing unhooked and motor ready to be puled on the auto car. BUT i have a ?? What did you guys do with all the wires from the 604 trans?? I just cut them at the plugs on the trans. Then i removed the controller on the pass side inner fender. Then i took all the wire loom and wire tape from the harness and cut all the wires that went to the contller. then i followed the wires up to the 2 relays that are monted on the controller and cut them ware they went up in the harness. Did i screww my self by cutting all these wires??
only thing i was worried about was my speedo and crusie control did i mess them up by doing this?? After i get the motor trans out i might just pull the whole engine harness and just put the 5 sp one in it. But if i didn't mess anything up by doing this i will just leave the harness in. I made sure i didn't cut any outher wires execpt the ones for the trans

WEll got both motor/trans out. I found out that i need to weld the brakets for my bobble strut for the trans.

And what did you guys do with the 604 wires when you swaped trannys? I just cut them all should i be alright or should i just change complette eng harness?? i don't want to if i don't have to thoe LOL.

I swaped engine bay harnes it took me a whole 20 minutes when the motors were out of the cars. I have it all done shifter, cables,pedels, wireing, clutch cable mount on the d side strut tower. And motor sitting in with most every thing hooked up. I just have to throw my CV shafts in rad,exh and battery tray. THEN i have to make my boble strut mount and its done. If it wernt for the bobble strut mount it would basicly be a bolt on every thing and go swap. But i am hoping to wrap things up tomrow before me 6pm class.

Yeah i should have it done tomrow. So how do you like the 5sp??? The 5 sp cars are a completly differnt car then the auto cars. I had a 92 duster 3.0 5sp, best car i ever had!!!. I was trying to find another pbody 3.0 5sp but came across the 5sp 90 tona real cheap. Then got the 90 auto car that is in much better shape so i swaped the trannys. It was a lot of work, i did ever last bit of it by my self to. outside in the cold with no airtools. Yeah it sucked arse but i hope it will be worth it when i get it done tomrow.

i love the 5-speed! it was like a totally different car! so i don't regreat any part of the swap.... even the pedals. i had a hard time with the pedals for some reason....

heh.

i hope to get the shadow back on the road this upcomming summer. it's been off the road for a year now! not really by choice, either. more like not enough time to do anything to it.

I didn't get much time to work on it yesterday, had homework and stuff to get done. But i am heading out rightnow to finish it up. After its done i will take a couple pics of a good 5 sp burnout

Well its all done

But it started snowing before i could get it out to the road and do a burn out. Dam snow always has to mess up my plans. But its all done and runs GREAT. For now lets see how it holds up after lil trip around the back roads tomrow.
