I was wondering what all is involved in a 2.5 tbi to 3.0 v-6 swap. I know that you have to change the fuel pump to a high pressure one, and you need the complete wiring harness and computer, or megasquirt, but I was wondering if anyone has an in-depth description of how to do this, or if anyone has done this it would be a great help. Thanks

all you will need is a fuel pump from a same yr car with the 3.0 in it. And if you are lucky enough to have the same yr and model car but with the 3.0 for parts it would prolly be fairly easy.

I have done this Swap last year and all that is needed is the Bay harness, computer and the radiator out of a 3.0 car YES this is a MUST it has to be the Low Profile fan motor... the interior harness can stay if you dont want to upgrade the interior harness for luxury options.

hey jetson, how would you go about the engine bay harness, i know there is a 40 pin connector inside the firewall, is it where you disconnect for the 3 liter harness?

It all depends on what he is changing the 2.5 from 3.0 from. If that car never came w/t a 3.0 from the factory then he isn't going to be able to just plug in a engine bay harness without moding it. They changed the engine bay harnesses almost every yr.

LIke if he had a 87 2.5 n/a baron he isn't going to be able to get a harness from a 87 lebaron with a 3.0 cause they didn't make one. And i think the 1st yr with the 3.0 is 90 for them and that harness would be way differnt.
