My brother's rampage is running an electric fuel pump with his original carb. He's using the stock regulator/return. I'd suggest that if you don't plan on changing over to efi, then go with another mechanical pump. They'll be much cheaper as most electric pumps start at like $80 and go up from there.

Just make sure you get an electric pump designed for low pressure carb use.

My son used an electronic pump from either Advance or AutoZone on the 86 Turismo after he did in the original engine and used a common block in it. He mounted it on the firewall near the fuel line and hooked it up to the dark blue ignition feed wire. This was a nice low pressure unit.

all you need is a low pressure carburated fuel pump available at any auto parts store. you want a pump that does not exceed 8psi.

I know my brother's for sure needs the regulator. We hooked the return line to dump into a 2L bottle, and a ton of gas comes out of there, way way more than the engine could ever consume. But I'm not sure what the pump's specs are.
