$3+ a gallon gas is starting to get to me. My turbos are getting around 21-23 mpg and I'm wondering what n/a Dodges get. What are your real-world experiences with the n/a 2.2 and 2.5, auto and manual versions?

Thanks for the feedback. Anyone have any experience with Neons or 4-cylinder cab forward designs?

my 89 acclaim 2.5 TI 5 speed with wastegate unhooked (no boost) got close to 30 first tank , mixed driving..

working on second tankful now, then I will hook up wastegate and check

disconnect your wastegate for better fuel economy ?? !!

PS Martins 2.5 Dakota must be a miracle truck cuz my 91 2.5 5spd dak never ever broke 24 mpg; it had a 3.92 FDR though

My '84 5-speed carb'd Charger was getting 35 mostly highway. Been tweaking it and it's up to a hair over 40 now.

'89 Spirit R/T gets mid to upper 30s. Got 39 once, and 37 many times.

My 96 Neon with twin cam got about 30 at 80 mph. Same with 04 stratus with 2.4 16 valve pulliing a trailer with a garden tractor in the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee.

What is the best vaccum port( if there is one) to connect the vaccum line for the distributor cap mod? Does going 5sp help that much in concern of gas mileage?

I've gotten 28 mpg with 88 Shadow with 2.5 and 5 speed on highway. I also have an 88 Shadow Turbo I 2.2 that gets 30 mpg on highway. I think that is without air on.
Neon ACR with twin cam gets 35 mpg with some stop and go. Rearend is geared higher than standard Neons. Have a SOHC Neon that gets about 35-40 mpg on highway with air on. Even have a 1990 3.0 V6 Daytona ES autothat gets 29 mpg on highway with air but mileage around town is another thing.
Yeah, how you drive them makes a difference.
