Thought I'd update you guy's on how things went with our little N/A convertion. We ended up putting things together exactly as I had described. Ran an 88 TBI roller cam instead of the S60. Gave it about 6 degrees advance when we installed it. Had to run a newer style PS pump to clear the header. Other than that we bolter it together, dropped it in with the 88 turbo intake manifold, stock TB and all the turbo electronics that were already there. Once everything was hooked up we fired it up, set the base timing to 14 degrees and that was it! Everything ran great, seemed responsive, so we took it for a little rip and it seemed to pull great. Loaded it up on the trailor and we were off to the races. Brent (my bro) ripped it around the track a couple times to warm up and I asked him if I should give it any more base timing(cause I wasn't sure if the turbo curve was going to be a prob) but he said the car pulled hard all the way to 6000 no problem, so we left it alone. First real indication of how fast we were was the Qualifying round. With the turbo mtr at 10psi he would usually Qualify a couple seconds ahead of the rest (this is for 2 laps) When they anounced the results he had Qualified #1 with a 7 second margine! Sufice to say, the rest of the day was a forgone conclusion. Unless the car broke, or someone took him out he would win his 3rd title in 4 years, and he did. Now we'll have to see if they outlaw his entire car for next year! lol In the mean time I'm going to check a few things out on the build. I didn't have time to hook up the LM1, so I'm not sure what our fuel mixture is yet but it's got to be preety close to dead on. Also, we're going to G-tec the car and see how it does VS it turbo other self. Anyway, sorry fore the novel, bottom line is that the turbo electronics seems to work perfectly, with out changing anything!
