Just got my '84 GLH back together last night it has a stock Shelby bottom end(factory milled block), a G-head thats bean shaved .030'', MP 460 lift cam and large tube hedder w/ a 2.25'' exhaust. Runs and drives but I need to now what ignition timing I should run? Please help!

I like 16° base. but it's best to hold the r's around 3000 and shoot for total timing in the 34-38° total timing. at 3000 the computer should be at full advance. bring it back to idle and see that you have no more than 20°. I use a timing light with the advance feature. I set my light at 36° and when I see the timing line on the flywheel line up with zero on the trans, I know that Im running 36° total timing advance.

them are good numbers. most EFI cars run nearly 40 degrees total advance at high rpm.

At cruise (High vacuum) higher. WOT should be less, around what
ALLMOTOR's saying.
