Thought about a similar venture on my 84 Turismo tbi 90 sbec jobber I did..I gutted the airbox and sealed it off.......I do have the hood scoop on mine from an 82 Turismo 2.2.I was worried about doing what you tried there because of underhood hot air....Do you think If I opened up the rear of the scoop and cut a hole in the hood it breath ok?

Here is what I did with my SC to try to get some heat out from under the hood and some cooler air to the carbs. I later deleted the long ram pipes as it made it difficult to tune. I also went with the blacked out hood look. I still have the original hood for the car as well.

Thanks Robb. Nope, it's a steel hood and yes, it certainly does remove some heat from the engine bay.

Robb-The tires are 205/55/15. I have the bottom of the fenders flared out to cover the front of the tire. People look at the car and can tell there's something different about it, but they can never quite put their finger on it. It is pretty subtle.

The paint guy used the factory paint code, but I've always thought it was a bit "bright". Nonetheless, he did a nice job on the paint.

Your car looks pretty sweet as well. Black is by far my favorite on a car.

I "needed" the valve cover too and I paid dearly for it a few years ago. It was brand new in the box.
