I have a 1983.5 shelby charger carb I wanted to put into my "page'' and last night I spent hours trying to make it work, but I just can't figure it out. I was told by a knowledgeable individual that it would work, but I'm not sure. I don't know which 1983.5 model it is, the one with emissions or not. I can take my stock carb off and have it back in and running in about 30 minutes, but this thing is killing me. Any help with diagrams or factory manual installation instructions would be much appriciated! Leland

Do you know for sure the 83.5 carb is good?
Did you see and hear the engine run that it came off of?
What are the symptoms of the engine w/new carb? Won't start? rough idle? etc.
Any vac lines or ports left not connected or plugged if necessary?
Did you check the part numbers or Holley model numbers for comparisons sake?

I know, you're looking for answers not questions.

Leland,
PM me your e-mail address, I've scanned about 20 pages from the '84 FSM that should help you. You either have the Holley 6520, 5220, or the Mikuni carb. I have a completely rebuilt (new) Holley 6520, as well as a rebuild kit for the 6520/5220 as I've mentioned before.
