I've got plenty of turbo cars. Plus so many other people have done that and I like mine being unique. It doesn't need to go that fast. It may even stay carbed for quite awhile before I even get to it. I have several other projects ahead of that anyway. I'm just casually looking for a '88 or '89 Omni/Horizon that is too bad to fix and I can part out at some point. Even those seem to be getting hard to find now too.

My wife was reading over my shoulder and said, "Oh no! That's horrible! I feel so bad for him." Maybe some butthead decided it just wasn't right for somebody to own more than 2 R/Ts at the same time and decided to target you. How long ago was it stolen?

No this one has a new '95 2.5 liter carbed motor installed in it. I just wanna convert it to a EFI version for better drivability. Runs ok as is I just despise carburetors and tried to convince him to convert it when he had the motor put in but he kept the carb on there. He does still have the original 2.2 motor for the thing and I'll get that too cause there was nothing wrong with it. He just wanted a new motor in it.

Great find and buy man,

Why the choice of the 2.5 over the 2.2? I would put the 2.2 back in it (as these Scamps are rare) and put a Weber carb and supercharger on it. I'm trying to get a group buy going on the supercharger. (If interested see team omni or the supercharged section on here.) We are trying to figure out how a supercharger will work with TBI.

I didn't put the engine in the car myself.
But the carbed setup on this 2.5 is actually pretty damn sweet.
I was going to convert ot over to efi and still may later but for now
I think I will leave it as is. I would love a supercharger setup but I don't see me being able to afford one anytime soon.

Nice! Would love one of those.

I tend to hate TBIs*, so I'd prolly leave the carb on if it was running sweet. Haven't had a carbed car in a few years, but I don't remember having too much trouble with them, maybe I had a good ear for getting them set up nice.

* Dunno what it is really, guess I think of them as the worst of both worlds, not tuneable like a carb, while retaining a good few of their deficiencies, and not as efficient as MPFI. Guess I've had bad luck with TBIs and good luck with carbs.
