Did you guys know that the Mexico cars actually came with MPI on some of the non Turbo cars. I was browsing through a junk yard here in Phoenix a while back and came
across a Shadow with a one piece intake, after looking at it I noticed no turbo.
After further research I found out that it was a Mexico Shadow. I have also heard of people using the ECU's off these cars for a conversion.

I'm not sure about the injectors from the 3.3, I don't know the pph, but you should check the resistance on them first before you do anything else. I think dodge used mainly peak and hold injectors with maybe 2ohms resistance each. You need to use saturated injectors, with resistance around 12-14ohms.
I don't really understand what you mean about the 3.3 injectors being perfect for a 2.2, are you saying for a turbo 2.2? If you're able to swap 3.3 injectors onto a turbo car, they're peak and hold.
I'm not sure what setup you're running, but if you used turbo electronics, or the ffv electronics, you would use stock TI or TII injectors. In fact, someone made note that the ffv cars used +20 injectors.
And are you buying brand new injectors? I got mine off the junkyard. I would recommend that you swipe some injectors off the junkyard first so that you find exactly the ones that will work perfect for you after tuning the fuel. That way you don't end up spending +$200 on injectors that won't work.
And yes, the mexican mpi ecu and harness would be IDEAL because it comes with sequential injection and has the right spark curves, whereas the turbo ECUs are tuned to expect a turbo to kick in.

Actually, I'm not doing this way, and yes, i know majority of injectors are low impedance and these are what I can use either high impedance or low impedance and megasquirt is flexible with this. The comment about 3.3L injectors for N/A 2.2 should be perfect fit but I don't know what compatible for 2.5L.
I'm doing the conversion with megasquirt on a 2.5L 16V DOHC hybrid. N/A means no forced induction at all, just naturally-aspirated stuff. This is sub-forum for carb & TBI and naturally-aspirated stuff.

i did not get my injectors off a 5.0 i found a 93 escort and got them i figured since the escort is a 1.9l and mated with my fuel regulator it should be alright, i wouldnt really wanna go get another set since the ones i got were $40 and non of the places around ehre let you get them yourself, i just wonder if the batch firing is the problem... i know it must work unless people are just bs'ing about it wich i HIGHLY doubt, could it be my turbo fuel pump, and why would when i turn the pressure down on the regulator does the car not want to start??? just kinda lost been asking questions and i hope im really close to narrowing down the problem
thanks

My car idles like crap too. Not as bad as it was with the stock regulator, though. What fuel pressure are you at? I have a problem sometimes where I can't start my car either, it just takes a little persuading, holding the throttle open and trying to make it catch on a few times, and when it does, I just rev it a little and its fine.
Have you reset your AIS? I was told that I should just plug that hole and open up the throttle a little with the adjustment screw to set a nice smooth idle, because my car sometimes idles high and sometimes low.

i cant find a fuel pressure gague so i just guess and check, and how would a person reset the ais and would that make the cars running rich go away???? i got another one that i could use, i dont wanna order some more stuff off the net do they sell those gagues at any part stores, im just getting weary of my conversion not working, but i will post some pics of it when im done if i can get it done, would the fuel pump being off the turbo be part of the reason, it is a higher pressure setting and i dont know where to put my fuel pressure vaccume line either, i looked at the vaccume diagram but it would seem some things are missing... Help please?!?!

You just connect the FPR to any source of vacuum I believe, you should make sure that's connected and clap it down. And you require the use of the turbo fuel pump for this conversion. My N/A Daytona came stock with the same fuel pump as the turbos. After a certain year, TBI cars came with the turbo pumps, or at least the Daytonas did.
And if you're running rich, why not just keep turning down the fuel pressure until it smooths out. There's a site that gives instructions on making your own fuel pressure gauge but I can't find it now. Turn the fuel down to see if it'll smooth out and run better so you could at least know what the problem is, but don't run it that way unless you have a way to determine the A/F ratio.
